The Comic Grading Process

CGC first verifies if the comic is genuine, examining the ink patterns, paper types, fonts, and other print nuances to make sure the comic is authentic.  

The assessors then look at the quality of the comic, taking stock of the number of defects or faults, the quality of the paper itself, and if any restoration work has been undertaken. They will also value the comic based on both its condition its desirability, and its rarity. Once this is complete they then return the comic in a sealed, transparent box, perfect for display.
